How to register for a sports class

Please use the registration system to sign up for a recreational sports class. You must first register for all classes you wish to participate in, even if they are free of charge. Each class has a maximum number of places. Registration is possible at any time, as long as there are free places available.

Before you can register for a specific class you have to register for use of the Sports Centre facilities and pay the recreational sports fee.

Please note: If you have entered your username incorrectly during course registration, please go to the Sports Centre office as the entry can only be corrected on site.

Registration system

The registration system provides a list of available sports classes. First, you should register for use of the Sports Centre facilities and make payment for the University recreational sports fee (Hochschulsportgebühr). Then click on the particular class you wish to take part in and click on the 'buchen' button to register. As a next step you should fill in the registration form and the SEPA direct debit mandate.

Access to the Sports Centre

To access the training areas, you need to have registered successfully for use of the Sports Centre facilities and the respective class. You can then pass through the turnstiles by swiping your CampusCard across the card reader. If you have only just received your CampusCard, it may take up to 24 hours until you can use it to access the Sports Centre. Please contact the Sports Centre office if you cannot pass the turnstiles with your CampusCard after this period.

Collection of university fees and course fees by SEPA direct debit

The recreational sports and class fees are collected by SEPA direct debit. Please consider the following:

  • The e-mail field is a required field.
  • You will need to provide your IBAN and BIC. These are commonly printed on your bank account statements or debit card.
  • For this direct debit procedure to work, you need an account with a bank in an EU or EEA member state, Switzerland or Monaco.

We recommend that you create a password when using the system: Doing so means you will only need to enter your personal details once for all future sports registrations. A printed and signed SEPA direct debit mandate is required so that we can collect your fees. After your first registration you will be issued the mandate together with the registration confirmation. Please print out the SEPA mandate, sign it and return it to the Sports Centre office at your earliest convenience; you may also send it by post or drop it into the post box at the entrance of the Sports Centre.

Please note that your reservation will be cancelled 5 days after the registration if we have not received your SEPA mandate by then. The SEPA mandate need only be submitted once, as it is valid indefinitely; however, it will expire 36 months after the last use. You may revoke your mandate in writing, i.e. by letter or e-mail.
